What to Expect During Your Appointment at Audiocorp.

Congratulations for taking the first step toward improving your hearing health! Our professional audiologists and support staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and truly care about your overall well-being. We will do what it takes to put you at ease, while explaining your options in a clear and concise manner.

To prepare for your appointment, we suggest you write down any symptoms you may have.

Start by writing down any symptoms you may have, and we ask that you write down any key medical information related to your ears. Before you arrive, please take a moment to note situations or environments in which you have difficulty hearing.

Bring a Friend or Family Member with You

Having someone with you may help us get a better understanding of some of the challenges involved with your hearing loss. They can also help us to learn communication strategies by offering valuable insight into your lifestyle, interests, and situations in which you may have hearing difficulties. You will receive a lot of information at your appointment and having another set of ears is always helpful.

How Long Will Your Appointment Last?

You should expect your appointment to last approximately one hour.

Information Gathering

The first step in the assessment is for you to fill out our questionnaire regarding your hearing history. This will help us to understand any medical issues that could be affecting your hearing. It may be a good idea to arrive a few minutes early to allow for time for the completion of these forms. Once completed, you will then meet with one of our audiologists who will go over the questionnaire and discuss your concerns.

Hearing Test and Results

We will then move on to the hearing test. Our thorough hearing test in Fredericton and Oromocto includes several different steps. When completed, your clinician will fully explain your results, answer any questions you may have, and make recommendations for treatment options.
