Katrina officially began working at Audiocorp in the Spring of 2017, after a Summer of volunteering and a work placement within the clinic. Born and raised in Fredericton, she was excited to return to her home town and work within the community. She graduated from Dalhousie University in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Audiology, and previously completed her Bachelor’s in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of New Brunswick.
A career in Audiology was not what Katrina had originally planned, but after several years of working in a Chemistry lab, she knew that she needed a career where she could interact with people and make a difference in their lives. Audiology gave her the ability to combine her love of science and technology with her passion for connecting with the people around her.
Katrina believes in building and maintaining connections between individuals, and feels that hearing is a large part of that connection. She strives to help her patients and their loved ones understand hearing loss and provide them with the tools to work through their hearing difficulties to stay in tune with the world around them.
Katrina is a member of these professional organizations:
- Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC), Aud(C)
- Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA)
- New Brunswick Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NBASLPA)
