Trevor decided to take a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Korea, where he taught English as a second language class. He returned to Canada 3 years later to pursue higher education. He intended to enroll in medical school but a personal injury led to a change of heart. Trevor then embarked on a career in health care where he would have a close, personal connection with patients. He went back to Dalhousie University to enroll in the Master of Science Audiology program. Over the next 3 years, he completed his degree and also completed a Master’s thesis on age-related hearing loss. His research was published in the scientific journal, Neurobiology of Aging, in July, 2010.
